Accreditation & Recognition

A Route to an accredited register

Being on an Accredited Register means you’re nationally recognised and clients can feel confident in you as a counsellor or therapist.

Most Counselling & Hypnotherapy courses are accredited by professional bodies such as the National Counselling Society or National Hypnotherapy Society. You will be entitled to full professional membership with a large range of benefits, such as the chance to join the Royal Society for Public Health.

It’s now vital that counsellors and therapists belong to an Accredited Register recognised by the Professional Standards Authority - the same authority which oversees the General Medical Council, Nursing & Midwifery Council, and others. Chrysalis Courses are your route to this recognition, via the National Counselling Society and National Hypnotherapy Society.

COURSES LEADING TO OFQUAL REGULATED QUALIFICATIONS

Unlike many course providers, Chrysalis are recognised by Ofqual, whose role is to maintain standards and confidence in national qualifications. They are listed on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) which is the Government approved national credit transfer system for education. This means that you can be confident that Chrysalis are recognised to meet external standards, and also that courses you complete with us can count towards future academic study you wish to complete, including Degrees. We are an approved centre for Prince's Trust, an Ofqual approved awarding organisation. You can be confident that our courses are externally recognised.
The Prince’s Trust became an awarding organisation in 2010 and is currently recognised by the relevant qualification’s regulators in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland to design, deliver and award qualifications.
The Prince’s Trust also provides qualifications outside the UK. More information can be found at https://www.princes-trust.org.uk/about-the-trust/qualifications

ACCREDITATION AND RECOGNITION

Where indicated, our courses are accredited by professional bodies such as the National Counselling Society or National Hypnotherapy Society, where you can become an Accredited Member (MNCS (Acc.)) Other benefits for graduates of some courses include membership of the Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH).
