The Chrysalis Level 4 Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling.

  • Become a fully accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist in 3 years, practise Hypnotherapy after just 1 year.

  • Upon completion of the 3 years you will leave with 3 qualifications (A level 3 Certificate, Level 4 Diploma and Level 4 Advanced Diploma) as well as 2 Accreditations.

  • You will be a fully accredited Hypnotherapist and a fully accredited Psychotherapist/Counsellor- you will be accredited via the National Hypnotherapy Society and The National Hypnotherapy Society.

  • Most training courses are 3 years in length for full accreditation as a Counsellor- we have included an additional element into our 3 years in Hypnotherapy, as upon completion of year one you are able to start practising as a Hypnotherapist if you so choose.

The benefits of this are:

  • Practising as a Hypnotherapist is a great way to start building up a client base.

  • You can work with clients resolving problems such as anxieties, phobias, fears, weight loss and quitting smoking, in a relatively short space of time.

  • A number of Counsellors are referring clients on to Hypnotherapists- it is therefore an extra string to your bow and an income generator

  • It can help fund your ongoing training

Year 3, involves 100 hours of Supervised Work Placement (Work Experience) this leads to your full accreditation as a Counsellor.

  • A work placement involves you working as a Counsellor with clients in an organisation under Supervision

  • This is an invaluable part of your learning experience as it puts you in the real world of applying for jobs.

  • We have a number of organisations who have accepted Chrysalis Students previously and we can guide you towards opportunities.

  • It is ultimately up to you to be prepared, apply in good time, keep your options open and ensure you are interview ready.

  • You will be provided with a Placement Information Pack in your second year during Module 10.

Our Courses are Accredited via the National Counselling Society. The National Counselling Society holds an accredited register of Counsellors and follows a code of ethics. Your National Counselling Society Accreditation is recognised by the NHS and throughout U.K employers and will provide you with access to employment whether you want to work within an organisation or on a Self -Employed basis.
