This CPD course is for qualified or soon-to-be-qualified counsellors who are interested in adding basic hypnosis techniques to their toolbox of methods used to assist clients. This CPD course is not full training in hypnotherapy and does not qualify to practice as a hypnotherapist nor will it gain the learner entry to a professional register such as the National Hypnotherapy Society.

This course is valuable for:

1. Therapeutic Counsellors who have not previously studied hypnotherapy in Year 1 with Chrysalis.
2. Therapeutic Counsellors who have previously studied hypnotherapy in year 1, but who are not practising as a hypnotherapist and are interested in refreshing their hypnosis skills and incorporating them into their counselling work.

Content on the day will include:-

This tutor led workshop will involve discussion and group work surrounding the skills and experience required to work within couples counselling. This will include experiential work and key approaches to improving communication styles, i.e. empathic communication and active listening skills. Use of the Empathic Communications 4 Step Approach will be discussed as well as the two types of empathy. Citing of relevant research and further reference guides will be provided.
