Tracy is a qualified humanistic counsellor working in private practice with adults and young people. She has also worked within community counselling services, supporting people with a range of emotional and mental health difficulties.
Tracy specialises in working therapeutically with children and young people and has a particular interest in anxiety, self-esteem, emotional wellbeing and the impact of life experiences on young people. Her approach is person-centred and humanistic, with a strong belief in the importance of the therapeutic relationship and creating a safe, non-judgemental space for exploration.
She has a particular interest in trauma-informed and somatic approaches, including the relationship between emotional experiences, the nervous system and the body. She has undertaken further training in somatic therapy for complex trauma and bereavement.
Tracy holds a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a BA (Hons) First Class degree in Humanistic Counselling from the University of Chichester. She also holds a Level 5 qualification in Counselling Children and Young People.
Alongside counselling, Tracy is a qualified yoga teacher and has a strong interest in mindfulness, breathwork and nature-based wellbeing.
As a counselling tutor, Tracy is passionate about supporting students to develop their counselling knowledge, skills and self-awareness, while encouraging them to develop their own therapeutic identity and authentic way of working.
