Katherine qualified through Chrysalis, along with completing their Level 6 Research in Counselling courses Katherine is now working as a pluralistic counsellor with a primary focus on women’s mental health, survivors of domestic violence, and young adults. She runs a private practice alongside providing mentoring and academic support to university-aged students, supporting them to integrate theory, research, and reflective practice with confidence.
Katherine also teaches within Chrysalis training programmes, drawing on both clinical and academic experience. She holds MSc-level training in Psychological Research Methods and is BPS accredited (MBPsS), bringing a strong evidence-based, ethical, and reflective framework to her work.
Katherine is deeply passionate about guiding students on their journey into professional practice and supporting them to build solid foundations for their future work as counsellors. Her teaching style is relaxed, supportive, and grounded in real-world practice, while remaining clear, structured, and practical. Katherine aims to create a learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore their own development alongside professional competencies, enabling them to make the most of their training both personally and professionally. She is committed to helping students develop confidence, critical thinking, and ethical awareness as they step into their roles as emerging practitioners.
