With an adult teaching qualification (PTTLS) to support her Tutoring, Julie is an experienced Tutor and has taught for Chrysalis since 2016. Julie has been a practising Psychotherapist since 2010 both near Peterborough and for some time in Australia.

Julie Qualified in Integrative Psychotherapy with Chrysalis with further professional qualifications in Advanced Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness-CBT, Psychosexual Therapy, Insomnia Therapy, Diet & Nutrition , Eating Psychology, ETF, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) , Teaching Pilates & Wellbeing Qualification, 11 qualifications in Complementary therapies, two types of Life Coaching qualifications recognised by The Complementary Medical Association.

She has further certificates in Couples Counselling, Journal writing, EMDR, NLP, Art Therapy, Forensic Psychology, Dream Analysis, Shadow Mastery, Parapsychology, Human Resources, Child Psychology, Inner Child Healing, Recovery from Sexual Abuse, K9 Therapy, and further CPD work shows her interests in Working with Dissociative Disorders, Bereavement, Stress and Time Management in the workplace, Existential Therapy, Neuroscience focus in Psychotherapy, Treating General Anxiety Disorders and Neuroplasticity for personal development.

Julie brings a warm, down-to-earth approach to both her clinical and teaching roles. With a lifelong curiosity about the human mind, Julie’s work is informed by interests in neuroscience, neuropsychology, sociology, and evolutionary theory. These areas underpin her therapeutic practice and enrich her teaching, helping students connect theory with real-world application.

Earlier in life, Julie worked in the private sector and then across three public sectors, including roles in local government, the police force, the NHS, implementing substance misuse policy, and youth offending. Her varied background gives her a broad, practical perspective that she brings into the training room.

Julie is passionate about supporting students as they develop their own professional counselling identities and enjoys creating a collaborative and reflective learning environment.
