Julie has a well-established private Psychotherapy practice and has been teaching for Chrysalis since 2016. She brings a warm, down-to-earth approach to both her clinical and teaching roles. With a lifelong curiosity about the human mind, Julie’s work is informed by interests in neuroscience, neuropsychology, sociology, and evolutionary theory. These areas underpin her therapeutic practice and enrich her teaching, helping students connect theory with real-world application.
Earlier in life, Julie worked in the private sector and then across three public sectors, including roles in local government, substance misuse policy, and youth offending. Her varied background gives her a broad, practical perspective that she brings into the training room.
Julie is passionate about supporting students as they develop their own professional counselling identities and enjoys creating a collaborative and reflective learning environment.
Julie is an Accredited Registrant member of The National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society. To view Julie's NCS profile please click here.
