Julie lives in Ayrshire and after a successful career in Events Management and Human Resources, was keen to move into a career in counselling. Julie, after volunteering with the children's panel in Glasgow for several years, wanted to dedicate her career to helping vulnerable children, those in particular, dealing with ACE's so whilst working full time, Julie trained with Chrysalis for four years and qualified in 2017, she then gained her Level 4 Diploma in Counselling Children with CPCAB. She is passionate about early intervention and specialises in working with children and their families and has had over six years experience in the charity, private and education sectors, where she currently works and is also currently working towards a BSC Hons Degree in Child Psychology with the Open University.
Julie uses an integrative approach when working with clients that includes Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, CBT, SFT and Creative Therapy. She has dealt with many different presenting issues, including, anxiety, bereavement, eating disorders, transition, change, self-harm and suicide ideation.
